Yard Sale Deals!

I've needing to exercise, but everytime I start there was an excuse as to why I couldn't exercise the following day:

"I'm sick"

"I have my period"

"I have to be somewhere in the am and I don't want to exercise in the afternoon"

and the list goes on...

I remember when I was in college (years ago) and I loved sitting on the recumbent exercise bike and reading and realizing that I was exercising at the same time. I loved it! I could read and exercise at the same time...win-win!

I've been looking for a  recumbent exercise bike F.O.R.E.V.E.R. but I didn't want to fork over $300-$600 for something that I may or may not use. Plus, that's too pricey for a person like me who isn't a gym-freak.

The other night DH was looking online on 29 Palms Yard Sales and found this beauty for $60! We called and go it. These Schwinn recumbent exercise bike go for at least $350. I'd say we got a pretty good deal.

The Job I Thought I Had

Last week I posted about handing in my billionth application [click here]. Well, I was pretty stumped that they called me the day after I handed in my resumé and application. They did a phone interview with me and then set up a face-to-face interview the following day.

The interview went pretty well. I actually thought I had this job in the bag. They told me that Tuesday they would let me know their decision but to call them if they hadn't called. 3pm rolled around and I called, the lady excused herself and said that they wouldn't have a decision made until Thursday because they were still interviewing other candidates. I knew right then and there that I didn't get the job. If I got the job, they would've called me Tuesday and not have interviewed more candidates.

Thursday rolled around and I was right...I didn't get the job :( I hate being right about these things :/

Oh well, another one bites the dust. 

Sick...again!

Sunday I took a shower after cleaning and felt a sharp pang go through my body. All of a sudden I felt like I was having muscle aches and then chills. I got dressed, covered myself up and hoped that I wasn't catching a cold. I thought, "it can't be a cold. no one ever feels a cold entering your body, do they?" Well, it wasn't a cold but a nice fever making itself comfy in my body.
The rest of the day I was in bed hydrating myself as much as possible. I just got over a cold not to long ago and now this?!?! My temp spiked 100.1F but I managed to sweat it and flush it out.

But wait...its not over.

When my fever was saying "hasta la vista!" my stomach decided it wanted some attention.

So, since Sunday I have nursed myself from a fever and have managed to get a stomach thingy. Of course, I have not left my house and have depended on DH, which can either go right or wrong. I have managed to make him go to the commissary to buy some essentials, but things like picking up after himself are beyond my help.

Well, I must leave you all because some applesauce and toast are calling my name (don't be jealous of my tasty meal!)

Today I handed in, what seems to me, as my billionth resume/application. To be honest, I have stopped looking for job. Well, not completely. I'll look here and there, but I'm not looking full-time like before. I feel like its not worth it anymore. Yes, I try. But I'm sick and tired of getting a rejection letter time-after-time. I'm getting to that point that if I see one more rejection letter I may scream...
DH understands my frustration, but he thinks no matter what I should keep trying (btw, there is not pressure from him for me to get a job.) Its hard to explain to him, to someone that has a job and hasn't had to go through what I'm going through, that I'm tired of getting rejected.

Cleaning

Sunday's are usually my busiest days. I wake up and immediately start cleaning my house.

I don't know why I have to clean my house on a Sunday and not a Monday or spread it all out throughout the week (I actually still clean during the week). I think I get it from my mom, because you have to start your Monday's "FRESH".

Last week I was contacted by Elizabeth at DecalGirl to see if I was interested in doing a review of their USMC officially licensed skins. I, of course, said yes and here I am with the review!

look of the EGA and red (which is my fave color!)

I received two skins (one glossy and one matte) in a plastic

envelope which I love because, it protects your skin from any tears while being shipped.

Also, you know that this is a legit USMC officially licensed skin by

the shiny sticker that says so:

Unfortunately, my camera couldn't capture the difference

between glossy and matte, but I would definitely

choose matte. I like the feel of it and how the colors pop.

The Windy City?

There are many words that describe 29 Palms and one of them is windy.
Aside from being sunny, dry and normally warm all year long (I bet you are wondering why I don't like this place, huh?)
When it gets windy here, it gets seriously windy. What do I mean? It means that your house becomes filled with sand and/or dust and you can barely see the road.
